NABD ANNOUNCES BUY HERE, PAY HERE COLLECTION ACADEMY
July 12, 2006 - Houston, Texas: The National Alliance of Buy Here, Pay Here Dealers (NABD) today announced that it will host a two-day collection academy in Atlanta, Georgia, on January 10 – 11, 2007, at the fabulous Manheim DRIVE facility. Kenneth Shilson, CPA and NABD President indicated the curriculum has been finalized and the instructors selected for this event.
Mr. Shilson announced that the program is ideally suited for owners, general managers, collection managers, collectors and all other key employees who are (or will be) involved in buy here, pay here collection operations. “Simply stated, buy here, pay here is the collection business and this program will make you more successful,” Shilson said.
The academy instructors include collection experts Frances Chatman of Car Today in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Cereice Earp of Jim Keras Buick in Memphis, Tennessee along with attorney’s Tom Hudson and Joseph Looney, Michael Moore, NCM Twenty Group Moderator and Ingram Walters, owner of Griffin’s Credit Quick in Charlotte, North Carolina. In addition, participating sponsors include Aircept, American Recovery Association, Auto Master Systems, Inc., CAR Financial Services, Guardian Warranty Corporation, LCS Financial Services, Manheim Auctions, NCM Associates, ONTIME Payment Protection Systems, Shilson, Goldberg, Cheung & Associates, LLP, and Subprime Analytics. “Each of these sponsors will participate as instructors and will share valuable tips on how to improve collections, increase profits and cash flow. Their participation and support also will greatly reduce the registration cost for the attendees,” Shilson added.
The Academy will begin on Tuesday evening, January 9, with a welcome reception which will provide the opportunity to network with other attendees, all of the speakers, and the sponsors. During the two day program, attendees will learn how to avoid the fatal pitfalls, improve their underwriting, implement the latest technology, avoid legal and regulatory mistakes, and to learn from their losses. “This modest investment in education can make you millions,” Shilson stated.
“The Manheim DRIVE facility offers state of the art technology which will enhance the experience of everyone who attends,” said Shilson. Registration is now underway and the academy will be limited to only 200 attendees in order to facilitate personal training and individual interaction with instructors and sponsors.
